Apple Pie ViSalus Shake

Apple Pie ViSalus Shake Recipe8 oz. skim milk
3-4 icecubes
2 scoops of ViSalus
1 small apple, cored and peeled
1/2 tsp cinnamon
1 tbsp oatmeal

 

Directions: Blend well and serve in a chilled glass.

Variations: Use applesauce instead of an apple.

ViSalus and College Students: Saving money and fighting the Freshman 15 the healthy way

’m sure it’s no surprise that my stepdaughter was worried about gaining the Freshman 15 when starting college this year. She has heard so many stories about weight gain in college and wanted a way to fight it.

Of course, I mentioned the ViSalus shake to her when she graduated high school. I was shocked when, normally hesitant about trying new things, she willingly started having a shake a day, even in the summer. She said she knew there would be so many temptations at college with her meal plan that she better get in a routine.

I bought her one of the Oster MyBlend 20-Ounce Sport Bottle Blender’s to make things even easier for her. It’s way better than having all those individual pieces to wash.

She’s been in college for a month now and she’s still loving the shakes! And it’s a good thing, haha, with all those late night eating contests and baking urges her dorm mates get!

As her parent, it eases my mind to know that at least once a day she is making a healthy food choice. And no matter how she chooses to spend her meal plan money, I know she will always have one or two meals a day with ViSalus.
